Extreme Metal includes many subgenres including Black Metal, Death Metal and Grindcore. Extreme metal is generally defined by blistering guitar work, fast drumming, and vocals ranging from screaming to growling. Not many Extreme Metal bands have melodic vocals, although it is possible. Bands include: Gorgoroth (black metal), Nile (death metal), Agoraphobic Nosebleed (grindcore).
