Rags has been deeply involved in discussions with RIAA, ASCAP, BMI & SESAC over the past few years, and has helped navigate Live365 through these tempestuous waters. In this presentation, Rags will provide an overview of the ever-changing issues surrounding licensing and royalties.

Where are we going with all of this? David will discuss the future of mobile internet radio devices and those for the home, followed by hands-on demos of four different internet radio devices.

Yet - despite these developments - mainstream media is becoming increasingly monopolized. How do we leverage the myriad of distribution tools and channels available? Will independent music ever surpass the mainstream channels we have now? Does it have to? What will it take?

A former professional AM/FM announcer, Pat (username: jackallday) will lead a discussion on how to perfect your on-air delivery. He'll cover the importance of preparation, and various cures for the dreaded "diarrhea of the mouth" syndrome.

2) Using Bamman's Awesome Utilities

Discussion Leader: Bob Mills

Live365 broadcaster bamman will give a demonstration of the variety of utilities he's written, including SwitchLMode (broadcast mode switcher), RTL365 (relay track lister), SweeperSwitcher (sweeper rotation utility for Live365), CueM3U (M3U to LST Conversion Utility) and ExpTPR (to export Track Power Ratings)
