Tamil Music includes a long tradition and history for the Tamil people (native to the Tamil Nadu region of India). Many of the famous songs produced are from poems from classic Tamil literature and were set to music. The music has evolved with many producers from India using styles of the Tamil music in their mainstream releases and more recently in movie soundtracks.
