Programming your own Internet broadcasts can be fun and rewarding. It is important, though, for you to make sure that your stations comply with relevant laws and rules. If you have any questions regarding the rules that are not answered below, please send us an email at legalinfo@live365.com.

General:

  • Can I broadcast music from CDs that I have purchased? (answer)
  • Can I broadcast music from MP3 files that I have downloaded? (answer)
  • Can I have a station that plays only songs from one (or a few) of my favorite artists? (answer)
  • Can I have a station that plays only songs from my own band? If so, what rules apply? (answer)
  • Can I broadcast recordings of my band with some other recordings (from CDs, MP3s, etc.) mixed into the program? If so, what rules apply? (answer)
  • Do I have to pay music licensing fees for my programs that are transmitted via Live365.com? (answer)
