The reason you got the MIME Type Error is that you already have another setting for streaming MP3 audio. You need to go in and delete that existing setting before you can create a new one.

Resolving the MIME Type Error:

  1. From within Netscape, click on the Edit menu and select Preferences.

  2. Select the Applications category on the left side of the Preferences window.

  3. On the right side of the window, locate the setting that configures your MP3 streams. The description can vary, so you will have to search through and open the one that sets the application for the MIME type "audio/x-scpls."

  4. Select this setting and click on Delete. Close the Preferences window.

  5. Quit and restart the Netscape browser, then follow the steps in the previous tutorial.
