Job Description:

Live365 is seeking an ambitious, committed, entrepreneurial, hardworking, organized, and productive lawyer to join our team. Initial assignments are to take over legally related responsibilities under the direction of General Counsel and CEO. This position has the potential to lead to General Counsel or other Management positions as Live365 grows.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Management matters for Live365
  • Proactively identifying, avoiding and minimizing legal risks and resolving relevant legal issues expeditiously and practically
  • Manage compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Draft and negotiate agreements and corporate documents
  • Keep track of all dues dates and deadlines for business and legally related matters

 

Requirements:
  • Excellent research and briefing skills
  • Previous successful experience in major law firm practice in contract, commercial, software, licensing, intellectual property
  • Experience in music, recording industry, patents a plus
  • Eager to deliver excellent service to all company departments
  • Proven respect for and achievement of aggressive client schedules / deadlines
  • Proven record of ability to work hard, as demonstrated by billable hours, work product and references / recommendations
  • High energy and optimism coupled with problem-solving, hands-on mentality
  • Understand, solve complex new internet legal issues
  • Minimum 3+ years practice, 1.5-2 years relating to internet / information technology
  • Provide strong leadership to develop a successful team as required by growth
  • Assist with business development and deals
  • Top 50% from a will respected law school
  • Member of California Bar
  • Strong and succinct communication skills
