Live365, Inc. is seeking an established Director of Business Development with prior experience with digital music, Internet services, mobile, and/or consumer electronics devices. Position will jointly report to the General Manager and CEO to integrate business to business relationship development in product distribution with the company's ability to execute technology implementations.
- Identify, prioritize, and secure strategic partners to expand and enhance promotion and revenue in support of business plan and key priorities.
- Proactively research, identify, prequalify, and pursue new potential partners in all arenas of digital music distribution, targeting specifically ones outlined in the company strategic plan
- Effectively conclude business deals in accordance with strategic plan and timetable
- Coordinate implementation of initial deal with Live365 technology team, acting as initial project manager to ensure optimal coordination and execution between company and partners
- Collaborate with senior management team to identify and implement new business initiatives
- Minimum 4+ years in business development for media, music or entertainment industries, ideally with last 1-2 years exclusively working in the Internet content space. Established base of relationships in digital music, mobile services, and/or CE devices optimal.
- Technology background/understanding in digital music or online services optimal, as the position will interface with technology teams at both client and company
- Able to work successfully with minimal day-to-day supervision; Self-starting, highly motivated; able to spot, develop and "close" on business opportunities.
- Hands-on approach with a "get it done" mentality
- Led or been key member of a business development team
- Proven experience developing partnering or co-marketing strategies (which organizations to target, process for establish relationships, terms of a relationship, etc.)
- Proven experience identifying and establishing contacts at targeted partner organizations, as well as moving beyond initial contacts and understanding changing needs of partners and business environments
- Experience negotiating partnership arrangements, distribution arrangements, etc.
