Site Review: Live365
By Julene Snyder

The key to enjoying online radio is being able to quickly find a channel that fits your mood, which can get tricky if you're the temperamental sort. A recent, rain-soaked morning found me in a wistful frame of mind but I snapped right out of it by reliving the wretched excesses of youth at "The Breakfast Club (80s Flashback)" channel on Live365.com. Right off the bat, three songs in a row made me smile: New Order's "Bizarre Love Triangle," Siouxsie and the Banshees' cover of "The Passenger" and Dead or Alive's "Spin Me Round Like a Record, Baby." But then, Boy George and Culture Club reared their ugly heads, and I lunged to change the channel. No fear, over at "Soulsville," Kool and the Gang were "Hollywood Swinging." And if some ditty clashes with my ever-changing mood, no worries. I've got more than 3,700 broadcasts from which to choose, and if they won't do, I'll start my own. Hey, if the people behind "The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings Radio Drama" channel can do it, I can too.
