Live365 is seeking an ambitious, committed, entrepreneurial, organized, and productive attorney to join our team. Initial assignments include legal and business development responsibilities under the direction of the General Counsel and CEO. This job has the potential to lead to General Counsel or Management positions.

• Manage legal matters, compliance with laws and regulations for Live365
• Proactively identify, avoid, and minimize legal risks and resolve legal issues quickly and practically
• Draft and negotiate agreements and corporate documents
• Actively participate in our dealings with Sound Exchange, RIAA, and royalty related organizations and activities including litigation and settlement negotiation
• Keep track of all dues dates and deadlines for business and legally related matters and make sure that relevant individuals in the organization follow up
• Actively take part in business development matters

• Excellent research, briefing, and writing skills
• Previous practice experience in contract, copyright, and litigation matters
• Experience in music, recording industry, patent, and copyright matters a plus
• Ability to understand and solve complex internet and royalty legal issues
• Minimum 3+ years practice, 1.5-2 years relating to internet / information technology
• Top 50% from a well respected law school; member of California Bar
• Strong and succinct communication skills
• Good business background, knowledge, skills, and sense
