There are several things to take into account when delivering our Logo for Web Media: Logo Style, File format, and pixel size. We also have Proportion, Font and Color specs that MUST be followed at all times when printing our logo. Make sure that whomever will be printing our logo is aware of these.

File Formats | Size & Resolution | Usage Specs | Background Colors

File Formats

As opposed to print media, where both vector and bitmapped images can be used, when inserting our logo on the web we use exclusively bitmapped files. The only exception are vector-based web animations, such as Macromedia Flash, but that type of file will NOT be included in this library.

Another important difference is that color mode is not CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) , but rather RGB (Red,Green,Blue) . This means that the entire spectrum of colors is made by combinations of those three colors.

The two most common image formats for the web are GIF and JPG. Whereas Jpegs are used mostly for photographic images, GIFs are used for graphics with large areas of a single color and a reduced palette.

For that reason, you will only find GIF images in the library. If for some reason you need to insert our logo with a background color other than black or white, download that style's Editable PSD File.

Pixel Sizes and screen resolutions

Web graphic sizes are not measured in inches or centimeters, but rather in pixels. Screen resolution is 72 DPI (dots per inch). Dimensions are declared in the convention "width x height", so if a graphic is said to be 88x31, that means it is 88 pixels wide by 31 pixels high.

We have provided a wide range of pixel sizes for you to choose from. You should be able to find the right size and style for your need.

Usage Specs

PROPORTIONS:

When using the Live365.com Logo alone, the width:height ratio is 2.5:1

When using the "radio revolution" tagline along with the logo, the width:height ratio is 2:1.

FONTS:
The fonts used in the logo are:

  • for "LIVE" and ".COM" - MetaBlack Roman
  • for "radio revolution" - JS Eurostile Bold

COLORS:

Web graphics are limited to a palette of 216 colors that will display equally on both PCs and Macs across all browsers. These colors are represented through a hexadecimal number. For this reason, the colors on our logo MUST follow these guidelines:

  • The red disc color #CC0000.
  • The other colors are black (#000000) and white (#FFFFFF)
  • The numbers "365", as well as the hoop within the red disc, are ALWAYS white.

Background Colors

GIF files can have a transparent background color; the ones in our library do. They are either set to a black or white background color.

IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO PUT OUR LOGO ON A BLACK OR WHITE BACKGROUND, DOWNLOAD THE EDITABLE .PSD FILE INSTEAD.

Now, you may ask yourself, if the background color is transparent, what difference is there in what color I put it on? Plenty. Take a look at the following example:

A

B

If you look closely, you'll see an UGLY white halo around logo A and an UGLY black halo around logo B. This is because Logo A is made to be placed on a white background and Logo B is made for a black background. The halos are an effect of the anti-aliasing, which is a process that smoothes out the edges to blend better with the background color.

Again, to avoid this, download the editable .psd file
