Live365 Appoints Salvatore Meola As Senior Vice President of Engineering

FOSTER CITY, CA, (February 12) - Live365 (www.live365.com), the world's largest Internet broadcasting community with more than 27,000 Internet radio stations, announced today the appointment of Salvatore J. Meola as Senior Vice President of Engineering.

Meola brings over twenty-five years of engineering and management experience to the Live365 team. Prior to joining Live365, Meola was Vice President of Engineering at Catapulse, a pre-IPO company where he managed the launch of the first hosted development service for developers to write software over the Internet. This wildly successful application played a major role in the acquisition of Catapulse by Rational Software in just one year. Meola's other experience includes executive positions at Oracle, where he led the development and implementation of Metalink, Oracle's first browser-based application, as well as Network Associates, Gupta, Johnson & Johnson, and Merck.

"Sal has a proven track record both of quality and speed when building up the technological and engineering aspects of great companies," said Alex Sanford, President and CEO of Live365. "Our business depends on keeping our technology current, a skill at which Sal is an expert. We are lucky to have him with us and look forward to his contributions to Live365 as we continue to grow."
