About Me
Hello, I am Maarten alias DJ Maarten. Mainly responsible for the content on this station. In my spare time I am a deejay working in several clubs. It started 20 years ago. I had my own (illegal) radio station and did shows in the weekends until the police came and took my radiotransmitter. The music I liked that time was synthesizer music such as Jean Michel Jarre. After not being able to do radio anymore I joined the local church youth club were I started together with a friend of mine my first 'drive-in' activities. Soon after that I moved to a another youth club (less religuous this time) and DJ-ed once a week there and I was full time DJ in the summer holidays. On my 18th I moved to Enschede to study Electric Engineering at the University of Twente and I joined the campus radio station there (Radio Drienerlo). I did several shows there such as Film&Videoscope and a Dance program. Since this station was campus only, we also started a student radio program on Enschede-FM , the official local radio station to reach more students in the area. During that time I also started DJ-ing in the campus bar/discotheque (Vestingbar). The music style was very wide spread, hardrock,alternative, disco and house. Some years ago I finished my study and started working in Enschede at a telecommunication company and now I am working for another telecommunication company in The Hague.
Besides the Vestingbar, I am also DJ-ing on regular basis in a very trendy dance gay club. I stopped with the student radio program 5 years ago and have a new radio show now where I play dance music. You know what? The show is also called 'Clubcard' :-) Cheers, DJ Woef
