I've been a huge fan of a wide variety of music for many years and I enjoy sharing it with others just as much as I enjoy listening to it. My favorites are Blues, Jazz, Gospel, Soul, early R&B, and Folk Blues.
Favorite Albums
Marty Robbins

Marty After Midnight
Without a doubt, Marty Robbins could have been on a level with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin had he pursued that avenue. This album is a collection of gems from the man, himself.
Dave Van Ronk
-
Sunday Street
This album is a collection of some timeless vocals and excellent guitar picking from the legendary Dave Van Ronk. A true pleasure to listen to again and again.
Mance Lipscomb
-
Texas Sharecropper and Songster
This album was recorded in Mance's kitchen on a warm summer evening in 1960 shortly after he came home from work. He proved that at the age of 65, he had lost none of his prowess as a master guitar picker. His vocals suit the music well and create an ambiance that is almost indescribable.
Cat Iron
-
Cat Iron Sings Blues and Hymns
Beside the outstanding guitar picking and vocals, the fact that this man's real name is unknown creates a mysterious enigma. Cat Iron was an itinerant musician who was recorded one day back in 1969 and after doing so, he vanished into total obscurity from which he came. The music on this album is timeless and pleasure to listen to again and again.
Horace Silver
-
Song for My Father
Horace Silver is a truly gifted pianist. In my humble opinion, this is his finest album. I never tire of listening to every track on this album, especially the title cut. This is true mood music for a late night.
