Gospel Caravan has been heard here on Live365 since April, 2000. The response from listeners has always been slight. At first, I thought that was because Internet radio was brand new and often somewhat unreliable.
.
.
However, as streaming audio technology has improved and the number of people with broadband connections has increased, the interest in Gospel Caravan has not increased proportionately.
.
.
Therefore, I have told Live365 that Gospel Caravan will be discontinued effective

06-19-2009.
.
The only thing that will change my mind is a significant flow of email indicating listener interest in keeping this program on the air. I have never expected Gospel Caravan to be a “money maker”. All I am looking for is some indication of listener interest.

I have earned degrees in theology and education. I started in Christian radio in 1971 as a part time DJ at WPGM AM-FM Stereo, Danville, PA. Gospel Caravan was developed while I worked at WPGM. I worked at various Central Pennsylvania stations through the mid-70s and in Christian music syndication through the 80s. My last live job in radio was at WVMM-FM in Grantham, PA, where I played the Something Beautiful syndication tapes. I began Internet radio broadcasting 4/15/2000.
