My name is Allen Kephart. I originally got interested in broadcasting in high school at Rim of the World High School in Lake Arrowhead, California. I hosted a school news segment on a news program that aired on the local community access channel. I later attended San Bernardino Valley College and worked at PBS and NPR stations KVCR-TV and FM. I interned for a while at KFI-AM in Los Angeles. Later I worked at KCKC-AM (the original country music station in the market now known as 1350 The Toad and playing classic country over the air and on the internet- www.toad1350.com), KMSL-AM and currently work Saturdays at KPRO-AM, all in the San Bernardino / Riverside radio market. Around the fourth of July every year I MC the Jamboree Days parade and fireworks show over Lake Gregory, California, which is nearby my hometown of Lake Arrowhead. And prior to that, I MCed the Blue Jay Christmas Parade in the town of Blue Jay, which is part of the Lake Arrowhead area. I am thrilled to bring you my own station here on Live 365. My station, KRIM Internet Radio (formerly Patriotic Favorites) is now going to specialize in playing hits of all types (country, rock, etc.) from the 50s to today. I have launched a separate station, titled "Patrioitc Favorites" that will continue the previous patriotic themed music format. That station can be found at www.live365.com/stations/patrioticfavs. One program that I am most proud of that I air on KRIM is church services from Lake Gregory Community Church in Crestline, California. It is the church that I go to and we have a new pastor, Dan Stipp, who is really a great guy. I air Lake Gregory services Sundays at 12 Noon and 6 p.m. and Fridays at 7 p.m. I am also proud of the fact that KRIM airs music from Rim of the World area artists. So far that includes country artist Jim "Curly" Musgrave, Greg Diaz, and Phyilise Todd. And don't forget Eric Horner. Although Eric is not from the Rim of the World area, his songs about God, Our Troops and Country will bring a tear to your eye. Eric Horner's music is rarely heard over the air on radio (I have never heard his stuff on radio here in Southern California). These artists play in rotation with the nationally known artists. So give KRIM a listen and hear somethings that the over the air radio stations don't play.
