I am a "young at heart" (74+ years) pensioner.
My musical tastes cover a wide range but in particular Swing - Big Band - Jazz - Organ and Country Music from the 40's (or earlier) through to the 80's and later.
I have been a sports commentator and music presenter for Hospital Radio and had shows specialising in Big Band, Organ and Country Music.
The station is well into it's 5th year and I sincerly thank all the listeners who tune in.
So what will you hear? Well, music from all the Big Bands of yesteryear e.g. Glen Miller, Harry James, Glen Gray, Ted Heath, Stan Kenton etc. etc. and also many newer ones that are playing today. Jazz comes from artists such as Stan Getz, Sonny Rollins, Milt Jackson, Tubby Hayes etc,etc. and there is Dixieland and Trad Jazz from bands like Alex Welsh, Chris Barber, Ted Easton, Eddie Condon etc.etc. There are many solo musicians not forgetting the male and female vocalists.
