I was born under a hot Texas sun. Nearby was a yellow rose. My mother came from the southernmost tip of Texas, Brownsville. She married my father, a Booker. From the north to the south, I am Texan. Brownsville Booker is my name, but you can call me Brownie.
I’ve not done time, though I’ve been to Huntsville. I never rough necked, but I have been to Snyder. I haven’t seen the Seine, but I have been to Paris.
I love windmills, sunrises and sunsets, pioneers, the Gulf, Wichita Falls in July, armadillos, horned toads, spurs, Big Bend, Palo Duro, Buffalo Bayou, Oak Cliff, the Llano Estacado, dust storms, hail and Hale Center. I mean, I love Texas, Texans and my wife Pasana.
We reside joyfully, deep in the Heart of Texas.
