DJ Profile
southern gospel music online from WCB on Live365 Internet Radio
DJ: John Butero
Location: NC

AIM:
My name is John Butero, and I am the station manager of WCB (Worldwide Christian Broadcasting). The station belongs to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The format is primarily southern Gospel from the 80s through today, with some 70s music thrown in for good measure. I have worked in radio off and on since I was 15. I spent approximately 10 years working at two AM stations in North Carolina, and have some experience in internet radio. This is my second attempt at internet radio. The first time around, most of the programing was through live 365, but I decided that in order to provide more variety, I would go live, so most of the time, you are hearing a live broadcast from my studio in North Carolina USA. Thank you for checking us out, and I hope you enjoy the programming. If you get a chance, be sure and write with you comments and location. Our e-mail address is wcbradio@hotmail.com
Favorite Artists

Whisnants
They sing great and have consistantly good songs.

Steeles
I like their sound and Jeff's strong stand for the Lord and conservative values.

McKameys
A traditional sound unlike anyone else.

Brian Free & Assurance
I always enjoyed listening to Brian Free when he was with Gold City, and he continues to put out great music with his group Assurance. One of the best groups in Southern Gospel today.

Bishops
Mark Bishop is a great song writer and the Bishops were one of the finest sounding groups in southern gospel.

Favorite Albums

Gold City - Pillars Of Faith
It's hard to beat anything by the original Gold City Quartet with Brian Free and Ivan Parker. Narrowing it down to this album was hard.

Whisnants - A Glimpse Of Grace
A great album from start to finish. Worth including in this list for the 3 radio singles alone but the great songs don't end there.

Bishops - You Can't Ask Too Much Of My God
The Bishops always sound great but in my opinion this is their best album.

Steeles - Southern Steele
I always enjoy the Steeles but this is perhaps their best album and includes 3 huge hits.

McKameys - Sheltered
There are many McKameys titles I would like to have had room to include but overall this is my favorite.
