Chaye Alexander is no stranger to music. Her introduction dates back to her childhood when she and her mother spent Sunday afternoons enjoying the musical sounds of Petula Clark, Brook Benton, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Dionne Warrick and a host of other classic artists. “The first time I heard Dionne Warrick’s “Anyone Who Had A Heart” I was enamored with the song and her voice,” says Chaye. "In an instant, I became addicted to music and wanted to hear more.”

In her teen years, Chaye took to the turntables and in no time developed her own signature style of spinning, which garnered her a loyal following. Chaye’s interest later shifted to the music industry where she immersed herself and instantly gravitated to new and emerging artists. By her mid twenties, Chaye formed her own entertainment company with a focus on promoting independent recording artists.

Chaye later collaborated with the independent production company, Ready-or-Not Studio to co-produce music tracks for independent artists. It was during that period it became clear to Chaye that although talented, these artists lacked the medium to promote their music. That realization prompted Chaye to launch her own television show dubbed “The Artists’ Platform”, a program that blended videos from up-and-coming artists with those of well-known talents. As host, Chaye conducted intriguing interviews with some of the recording industry's notable artists.

The program ran successfully in several northeastern states for nearly two years. During that time, Chaye captivated viewers with her eloquent delivery and undeniably warm, charismatic, yet down-to-earth demeanor. Her ability to engage her guests made them feel comfortable and at ease.

Chaye's inherent knowledge of market trends, coupled with her creative approach to promotion in the ever-evolving music industry earned her the respect of many. Her keen foresight kept her at the forefront of these changes. Chaye recognized the subtle shifts in terrestrial radio early on, as well the void it created for new and some established artists seeking airplay/promotion. With the introduction the Internet and its global reach, Chaye quickly realized the opportunity and launched her Internet Radio station, at a time when the concept was relatively new, and brought a flavor to streaming radio that is uniquely her own.

Today, Chayz Lounge is one of the top Internet Radio station on the Web, with an audience reach in the millions monthly. This Urban Adult Contemporary station provides an avenue for independent artists to reach a global audience while delivering the perfect blend of R&B, smooth jazz & more 24/7.
