In 1986, under his middle names Douglas Trowbridge, Richard Souther recorded the followup solo piano album "Second Story" for the now defunct Meadowlark Records label. The album was recorded on Chick Corea's Hamburg 9-Foot Steinway at his Mad Hatter Studio in Los Angeles. Chick's engineers Bernie Kirsh and his assistant, Ira Cord Rubnitz recorded the improvisations. Souther scratched out a road map for each. His friend Peter York produced it. Went into the studio two mornings and came out with Second Story. The back story is that just like on his first album, Songs Unspoken, he broke his fifth finger on his left hand several days prior to the sessions!
Magnificent, lovely album fusing classical and pop genres by Grammy-winning trumpeter Chris Botti.
The Wind And The Wheat
Prolific virtuoso guitarist Phil Keaggy's 1987 masterpiece of beauty and warmth.
Romance In Spain
Just one of Mark's many stellar acoustic guitar albums. His playing is guaranteed to lift you up.
Beautiful album of arranged classical music by Sting's guitarist. Songs he co-wrote with Sting include the hit "Shape of My Heart."
