i started collecting records about sixteen soon met station owner jack campbell of WPLM radio. jack gave me my first break on radio jack soon became a great friend helping me through some difficult times. when jack passed away and the format changed i moved to nashville i then met WAMBS Bill Barry longtime station owner hosting sunday afternoon dance party playing the sweet bands . I soon discovered ballroom dancing meeting several friends along the way including frank deeter of southern rhapsody dance society. i decided it was time to start a broadcast playing the big bands of yesterday as well as today. its been a great success . playing the dance bands from the 1930s to today.
