The album that made me fall in love with classic alternative rock!

Alice in Chains - Jar of Flies
The most emotionally affecting album I have ever heard! No other album has soundtracked my sad days like this one.

Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
My favorite double album of all time, with the Beatles White Album being second. Love it!

Pearl Jam - Ten
After all these years still their best, but certainly not their only good album!

Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head
Too new for the format but my favorite album of the new millennium!

KRAK
KRAK is a station that plays grunge and grunge related music solely and therefore digs even deeper then I do! So if you LOVE grunge but want to discover bands and songs you might not have heard, check this station out!

Hypoxia Radio
A good mix of alternative from the 90s with some 00s thrown in for good measure. So if you want more 90s alt rock but you also want to hear what your favorite bands from the 90s are still doing in the new millennium, then check out Hypoxia Radio! I know I listened to it all the time back in 2007 when I was living in New York City and had no money and time to kill lol!

Radio Panic
If you love the Britpop on this station and want to discover more from the genre, which was sorely neglected here in the United States, then check out Radio Panic. It plays britpop as well as all british alternative from the 80s, 90s and today!

VIC Radio
Ithaca College's student run radio station is where I got my start in radio back in 2005. I used to have my own classic alternative show there called alternagold. They specialize in modern indie rock, but on the weekends they do speciality shows and alternagold is still floating around. So check it out if you have free time!
