Founded in 2001, BossaNova Beats Radio is an online Radio based out of San Diego, California. Bossanova Beats offers handpicked eclectic future sounds from, Nu Jazz, Broken Beat, House, Blog House, RMX, and many more. The music selection is compiled by Fernie, a.k.a. DJ Boywonder & DJ Jisu. Fernie started DJ’ing at the age 16, when his DJ neighbor would host after school parties. Thereafter, Fernie started collecting vinyl records from around the world; his passion for discovering new music has never stopped ever since. BossaNova Beats, rhythmic and harmonically rich style of music. We play music with Bossa Nova, Samba Breque (a type of Samba that has a choppy, almost reggae rhythm), Batucada, Rio roots influences with a splash of electronic instruments. You will hear these various elements embedded into our music selection.
