Once a ‘crate boy’ who got his start lugging in milk crates full of records for his childhood friend DJ Reality; DJ Nitty Gritty got his first taste of the 1’s & 2’s when he was nervously left to finish up a party when Reality had an obligation to tend to. He continued to hone his skills in local house parties where crowds were known to pack two floors of the house. That was 15 years ago. Today, he is well known for playing the right music at the right time. From weddings and birthday parties to celebrations of all kinds, DJ Nitty Gritty does it all.
Over the last 15 years, DJ Nitty Gritty has done venues from the famed South Street in Philadelphia to Conshohocken and continues to do private gigs throughout the tri-state area. When asked his concept of DJing, Nitty Gritty will tell you that to DJ a gig is like playing one long song, you just have to know which parts of the song to play to keep the crowd moving.
Since his beginnings on the local scene he began to recognize his potential and started his own company, “Eternal Hustle Multimedia & Entertainment” which was inspired by the life and legacy of his late grandfather and mentor. The birth of "Eternal Hustle" has allowed Nitty Gritty to weave his classic DJ skills, with his keen ear as a producer and musician, along with his individual style as a graphic designer into a multimedia entertainment company that is growing by leaps and bounds.
“The Hustle (2-5 Radio)” is a new avenue that DJ Nitty Gritty is using to reach newcomers as well as the people that have supported him to this point in his career.
