Rhythm and Blues prior to 1970 is just damn good music. I love the sounds from Jump Blues to Soul Music. For me Rhythm and Blues died along with the death of Otis Redding.
I started listening to Rhythm and Blues in 1956 when I was five years old, thanks to my mother, who listened to the music all day long on KTSA (San Antonio). My parents indulged me and I started collecting Rhythm and Blues and Rock and Roll music when I was about eight years old. I've been collecting since then and I still have all the old 45's and LPs I purchased over the years. Gone are the few 8 tracks I purchased and I never purchased cassettes.
It is my sincere hope that you enjoy this music as much as I do. I'm probably the main listener of my own station. I would appreciate your feedback. At this time I think my station is the #1 station on live365.com for Jump Blues. As time goes on this station may be more Jump Blues and less Soul Music. I would appreciate your opinions.
