What's up everybody? Who am I? I'm a child of the 70's, and I was raised up on 70's funk, soul, jazz-fusion, and a little bit of rock. I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I remember alot of us from around my neighborhood would bring our boom boxes to the playground, and we would tune it to the same station, and listen while we played basketball until the sun went down. Back then, R&B urban AM radio was what we listened to, until the sun went down and Milwaukee AM stations like WNOV & WAWA went off the air, then we would tune over to WAWA-FM.
Some of my fondest memories in the early 70's was listening to my oldest brother Glenn's James Brown records, along with Sly and the Family Stone, Isley Brothers, Ohio Players, Parliament/Funkadelic, Kool & The Gang, and the list goes on. Much props and love to you Glenn. Thank you for all the wonderful music!
What's represented on Funkology radio station is the funkiest of the funk, spanning 4 decades, leading up to curremt day. I'm so glad I'm able to share my love of funk with all of you. Thanks for listening!
