AIM:
I am a philosopher, writer, artist, musician and music lover. Currently I work at Aalborg University Esbjerg, where I teach at the education in medialogy (= loosely speaking, media technology) and do research. I hold a PhD in philosophy from The University of Southern Denmark where I studied the role of norms in the coordination process of performing musicians. Prior to that I held an MA in philosophy and applied visual communication. If you want to know more about me and what I do/have done before, check out my website www.orkesterfilosofi.dk.
Favorite Artists

Devin Townsend
Has filled the gap between music and modern sound art. At once heavy and calm - medicine for the mind

Opeth
In my opinion, they have attained the influencial role a band like Dream Theater had in the 90's. Always worthwile, even in routine moments

Jonatha Brooke
One of the most solid, reliable and ever spine-chilling singer-songwriters of our time

Mr. Bungle
(And other similar Mike Patton-projects) Some of the most disturbing and intricately composed music. Not for the squeamish.

Jethro Tull
(Up until 1982) Never heard a song I did not like. Like green tea for the ears :)

Favorite Albums

Twisted into Form - Then Comes Affliction to Awaken the Dreamer
This album embodies the majority of things I like about progressive metal. Brilliant from start to finish.

Dream Theater - Images & Words
The classic. A close shave with "Awake".

Sting - The Soul Cages
A pop concept album about death and sorrow. Often overlooked, as it is probably his least commercial release.

Devin Townsend - Terria
My favorite. See my comments on the Dev above.

Damn the Machine - Damn the Machine
Introvert and difficult to grasp at surface level, but deep and layered underneath. A cult item.

Favorite Broadcasters

jdckmc
The best for fans of Steven Wilson-ish music and other intriguing stuff!

eusdawb
"Prog - not just a city" - the name speaks for itself! A tendency towards the more instrumentally complex...
