After being a part of WRAX in Birmingham, then living in Portland Oregon and listening to two of the best radio stations on the planet (KNRK & KINK), San Antonio Radio is a bitter pill to swallow. So rather than streaming radio from Portland, I decided to make fresh radio from San Antonio. With help from my old Louisiana Radio Buddy, and all around great guy, Jesse Kleinpeter; my AFRTS Radio Buddy, and one of the most talented broadcasters around, Jeff Selby; and my Blue Star Brewing Buddy, and one of the coolest people alive, Christine Hill, we give you the THiNG! The goal is to play some of the best modern rock songs ever recorded, regardless of when, how hard or how poppy. It's all about the music! And we’re having a blast doing it.

If you've ever been to Portland Oregon, you know that they SOUND LIKE PORTLAND. Decemberists + Stumptown Coffee + Rainy Morning = Wonderful Portland Memories.

Red Hot Chili Peppers
Never sold out. Just as relevant today as they've ever been.

Spoon
As much as the Decemberists are Portland, Spoon is Austin!

Nirvana
Kind of the anchor store of the Modern Rock mall.

Fun. Good.

Favorite Albums

Wilco - Blue Sky Blue
Beginning to end, over and over, one of the best albums of all time.

Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix
The only thing better than this album is seeing Phoenix live. They rocked the Crystal Ballroom. Best concert ever.

The Decemberists - The Hazards of Love
Decemberists albums are great by default. But this one, and it's magical story is the stand-out.

Modest Mouse - We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank
This one has been in the CD player in my car for years. Never gets old.

Foster the People - Torches
Best album from a new artist that I can remember. SOLID! Can't get enough.
