My first paying job was at WLRH. From there I landed a job at WBHP one of the top AM country stations in the North Alabama and the south. Here John Scott taught me the art of being a DJ. In 1980 I went to work at WAAY AM Top 40. At this time WAAY was the premire Station in Huntsville and one of tops in the south. Here I worked with such greats as Jerry Dean, Rick Beckett, David Driscoll and many other. Soon after starting at WAAY we became a 50,000 watt power house to the south.
In 1981 I worked for a short time at WAHR with such greats as Ted Cannon and Gayle Lee.
From WAHR I went back to WBHP for a while then John SCott who left WBHP ask me to work at WFIX radio that had an oldies format. Then Bill Murray wanted me to come back to WBHP. He ask me to write, produce and host a country oldies show called, "The Classic Country Jukebox." It became one of the top radio in the Huntsville radio market and North Alabama. I hosted that show for about five years. Then John Scott ask me to come over to Athens to WPZM fm now known as the WOLF. I've been out of radio for awhile, but could never get it out of my blood. So, I decided to start this internet radio station to kind of scratch the ich I have. Someday I hope to get back into radio.
