DJ Profile
singer/songwriter music online from Acoustic Pie on Live365 Internet Radio
DJ: Kelley Martin

AIM:
I love singer/songwriters and I love acoustic music. I started Acoustic Pie in 2002 because I also love radio ~ the surprise and spontaneity of radio ~ and I got tired of spinning the dial as big corporations bought out my favorite stations. I spend my evenings hopping from coffee house to house concert to whatever venue might be hosting my next new favorite singer/songwriter. On Acoustic Pie, you'll find old favorites who are worth rediscovering and new independent artists you may not recognize. I truly hope some of my favorites become yours! ~~Kelley (www.AcousticPie.com)
Favorite Artists

Patty Griffin
Gorgeous singer with a soulful/folk sound. And who can resist a song about making pies (acoustically)?

David Wilcox
Honest, personal lyrics with melodic guitar accompaniment and fresh warm vocals.

The Weepies
A very exciting songwriting duo with a fresh folk/pop sound. Deb Talan's voice always seems to garner listeners' attention.

Kris Delmhorst
Edgy, intelligent lyrics in the voice of a fallen angel.

Ellis Paul
Charismatic and literate, Ellis embodies all that is wonderful about the Boston singer/songwiter scene.

Favorite Albums

Ellis Paul - Live
A live 2-CD tour de force from one of comtemporary songwriting's most influential artists.

Gregory Page - Sleeping Dogs
Beautiful and haunting songs. Gregory sets a mood that's all his own with intricate melody lines and thoughtful arrangements.

Nanci Griffith - One Fair Summer Evening
An exciting live album, beautifully produced with many of my favorite Nanci songs.

Still on the Hill - Chaos & Calm
Provocative, inventive songwriting, great picking, and beautiful vocal harmonies from this exciting songwriting duo.

Don McLean - Solo
Hm-m-m. Another live album... But what I love about this one is the depth of the tracks. Lots of wondeful McLean songs that you don't get to hear on other albums.
