PLEASE RATE TRACKS TO KEEP ON THE PLAY LIST
After listening to an Alex Harvey broadcast on live 365 called Glasgows finest and a few drinks out with the boys down the pub I came up with he idea to start a internet radio station called the Southend Years. Its funny how we all get great ideas down the pub sometimes called Beer Talk so with a week of work and terrible weather I decided to put the idea into action so here we are an internet radio station called The Southend years. The music we grew up with from The Sensational Alex Harvey band who played the Kursaal a few times to Hi Tension that played TOTS Night Club. Then after speaking with my brother in law whos in his 50s (a lot older than me) I find out about all the bands that played the Southend Kursaal back in the 60s that include The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, The Animals and many more.
This is a new site and I need lots more information and music to include on the broadcast so if you can help please contact me. Also if you see any mistakes please let me know.

Some months ago we decided to put together a site called Chelmsford Rocks and have now changed the radio station name. All the music from The Southend Years can now be heared on Chelmsford Rocks
