Favorite Artists

U2
All around grand rock feeling, meaningful words, Bono thinks big. I like that.

Pink Floyd
Made a huge and lasting impact on music, theatrical, ethereal, powerful, polished and raw at the same time.

Imogen Heap
Amazing production values, highly electronic, sexy and fierce, a true force in fusing vocals into electronica.

Philip Glass
Elemental, classical and progressive at once, always on the edge of music in all its forms, a living composer of the ages.

Paul Simon
One of the greatest lyricists of all times, his music is full of soul and meaning. Recently opened himself up to electronic music too. Always growing and reinventing.

Favorite Albums

Philip Glass & Ravi Shankar - Passages
A fascinating exploration of Glass' recurring themes with the deep earthy sounds and flavor of India through Shankar's masterful contributions

Paul Simon - Rhythm of the Saints
Although only his second or third highest commercial success, I think he was most in his element with this album. Cool Cool River is totally brilliant.

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Quintessential in every way. If I had to introduce an alien from another planet why Earthlings love music so much, this is what I would play them.

U2 - Original of the Species
It is hard to pick any one work to truly define U2 and in fact ONE is one of my favorites but I find the title track of this song so satisfying in so many ways, it had to be on this list.

Police - Ghost in the Machine
The band at its best with a powerful metaphysical message. My favorites are Invisible Sun and Spirits.
