Favorite Albums

Nick Lucas - Rose Colored Glasses
This is my favorite Nick Lucas Album. Nick Lucas recorded this album for Accent Records, (Soon to be re-released on Melody Man Records,) in April 1969. Nick Lucas was 72, and still better than ever, showing his skills on vocals and guitar that never faded for him.

The Stanley Brothers - For The Good People
This is the album that inspired me to learn guitar in the Stanley style. It's hard to say this is my favorite album they recorded because they never did a bad album.

Flatt and Scruggs - Live at the Vanderbilt
My favorite album by Flatt and Scruggs, shows how great they were outside the studio.

Eddie Lang and Lonnie Johnson - Blue Guitars
My favorite from these two. All of the guitar duets they recorded together from 1928 and 1929 are included on this release.

Reno and Smiley - Country Songs
This is my favorite Reno and Smiley album because it shows their talent in the country music tradition using 2 guitars, bass and snare drum. Don does excellent guitar work on this album.
