Black Sabbath
I was weaned on Black Sabbath. As a young boy, I listened to an audio cassette of "Master Of Reality", on my mono-boombox at Brunswick Bowlerland! One of the most exciting shows that I have seen was 11/15/92, when Black Sabbath had their first reunion in 14 years, at the Pacific Amphitheatre, CA. Earlier, that night, Tony Iommi's Black Sabbath supported their "Dehumanizer" Tour, where we heard Rob Halford, singing vocals! Dio had a falling-out, and jumped ship.

Led Zeppelin
Led Zep is a Rock-genre, all by themselves! There has never been a band, besides Led Zeppelin, that can play the heaviest of the Heavy Metal tunes, but can also play the most sentimental and memorable slow tracks or such spiritual and meaningful songs. Thankfully, I did have a chance to catch Page & Plant, in '98, at the Hollywood Bowl, and they played almost all Zep tunes! It was awesome. PAGE & PLANT FOREVER!

Biff Byford is one of Rock's biggest Die Hards! Saxon has always played such memorable and heavy riffs and melodies. From the first time that I heard "Heavy Metal Thunder", from my 50 cent used and crackly vinyl LP, that I had just bought from Victory Records, I became a Saxon fan FOR LIFE! I have always supported Saxon, since I first saw them live, at The Whiskey A Go Go, in 1981, where Biff stated, "This is our first time to America!" An unknown band, named: "Ratt" opened the intimate gig, where we were all together, like sardines... and loving it!

Judas Priest
"Hell Bent For Leather" was the "house music" of my '80 Prelude! I discovered Judas Priest in 1980, and I have been a die hard fan, since! From catching them live, back in the day, at The Los Angeles Forum and the Long Beach Arena, to seeing them, at Long Beach, again, In October 2005... KK Downing and Glenn Tipton shred! There has never been a better Metal Frontman than Rob Halford!"Unleashed" In The East" is one of the best live albums of all time.

I discovered The Scorpions at Victory Records in 1979. I paid 25 cents for my beat up, promo copy of "Taken By Force". My purchase was based solely upon the fact that I thought the band looked so cool on the cover! The Scorps are a band that you can respect. They are lifers and have always had some of the most melodic and memorable Metal tunes of all time! I'll never forget seeing them at The US Festival, 5/29/83. The Scorps were the best band that day (and they were there with Van Halen, Judas Priest, Ozzy, Triumph, Motley Crue, and Quiet Riot.) [Come to to view my amazing photography of The Scorpions Live at Universal Amphitheatre 1996!]
