I'm a music lover- it's my favorite hobby. I've always made mix tapes (showing my age) and CDs for my friends. Sharing good music brings me great joy. Internet Radio seems to be the next logical step. I enjoy a wide selection of music and Dansistor Radio reflects that diversity. I love the juxtiposition of old and new. Electronica/Electroclash is my staple genre, but I'm into Indie, Rock, 50's and 60s girlbands, Punk, new wave, 80's hip hop and sleazy disco. Originally, I am from Houston, Texas. I lived in London for over 6 years and loved the music scene there (I won't comment about the weather)! Now, I'm in Fayetteville, Arkansas (Don't ask... I'm still scratching my head too), and, luckily, I still have my sources for great music from the London music scene. My hope is that people hear something on my station that they've never heard before and they fall in love with a new band. I love feedback. Please let me know what you think of the songs. Dansistor is updated regularly based on the ratings that the listeners give the tracks.

Favorite Artists

Daft Punk
Daft Punk blend rock, synthpop, dance and hard techno beats seamlessly. They have to be one of the most original bands ever. Plus, they kick ass live!

LCD Soundsystem
LCD Soundsystem makes me want to move. They have a way with percussion- it builds and builds until you just can't stop yourself from dancing.

David Bowie
Bowie has influenced almost every genre of music out there. He's not affraid to experiment stylisticly- for better or worse- and he's a fashion icon.

Dolly Parton
She reminds me of being a little boy, driving in the car with my parents. She's one of the reasons I feel in love with music. Dolly is a classic that never goes out of style.

Goldfrapp
Alison Goldfrapp has one of the most amazing voices in music. Goldfrapp moves in melodic, cinematic waves and can crash into sleazy electro at the drop of a hat.

Favorite Albums

Ladytron - Witching Hour
It's got it all- perfect synths, great riffs and catchy lyrics. I often times feel like "Destroy Everything You Touch" is my theme song.

Deee Lite - World Clique
When this album cam out, I was just beginning to understand dance music. It was like peeking through a crack into a hedonistic disco underworld that I'd never seen before.

Tori Amos - Under The Pink
Let the critics say all the mean things in the world about Tori, cuz I love her. This is one of the most heart felt, emotionally frustrated albums ever. I love to sing to it - falsetto - and loud.

Goldfrapp - Felt Mountain
I started listening to this album in Texas just before I met my husband. He had the album at his flat and said it was one of his favourites. We instantly bonded over the beauty of Goldfrapp. It will always remind me of him.

Dirty Projectors - Bitte Ocra
2009 has delivered some great albums. Bitte Ocra is an amazing blend of sounds and styles.
