Empire of the Sun
Not only my favorite John Williams score, but my very favorite score of all time.
This stirring score defines what a score should do for a film: help us experience the emotion of it. The music foretells danger; expresses the main character's longing for flight; captures the innocence of youth; and thrusts upon us the gritty realism of a WW II internment camp.

Titanic
The magnificence of the ship and the splendor of its interior are juxtaposed with the longing of Rose and the struggle of Jack. The score is moving, filled with awe, and full of terror at the same time.
Hans Zimmer

Gladiator
An epic score which runs the gamut of emotions from intense chaos to bitter sorrow. He matches Ridley Scott's awe-inspirinly striking visuals with equally intense passages.

Dragonheart
An intensely enjoyable score with sweeping dramatic passages; heart-pounding pieces filled with danger, and light-hearted frolic. I actually enjoy listening to the score by itself than while watching the movie.
