My mission is to desegregate southern music. For far too long music genres have served to prevent us from experiencing the full flavor of music that's out there. So I look for artists that bend the genre rules. I play country bands that cover soul tunes. I play zydeco bands that include middle eastern riffs in the accordion parts. I play rock bands that have fiddle players. I play bluegrass bands that act like punk rockers.
