About The Station & Its Owner The owner, Donovan Johnson, started 'Church Beat Radio' in June of 2001 with the goal of changing the way Gospel radio stations format their play lists and improving people's lives. He believes that too many stations play either songs that have a great message, but don't carry a good tune, or the opposite (weak message, but the rhythm is great). With that belief, he created a format that has both a great Godly message, and has ear friendly tunes to keep you listening for hours. Since the inception of ((Church Beat Radio)), the station has been richly blessed. The station has ranked as high as #2 in all Gospel radio stations on the net; Over 35,000 internet radio dials have preset it as a 'preferred station'; It broadcasts in over 130 countries; Has been nominated as one of the best Gospel internet radio stations (Live365.com awards nominee); and currently has one of the longest listening times on the net (average listener tunes in for more than 65min per listener). However, there is much more work to be done. The goal is to help as many Artist spread their music ministry all over the world and becoming the most widely listened to station on the net.
