This Internet station is a tribute to I-82, the legendary college radio station operated by the University of Southern Indiana. The playlist includes songs from the golden era of college rock and today.
I am an alumnus of the legendary I-82, the University of Southern Indiana's college radio station. The station was the lone source of alternative music in south-west Indiana. While I-82 had a following, the station exploded when bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam joined the ranks of U2, R.E.M. and The Smithereens. The music and identity of AM 820 changed in 1994, and the moniker was retired. With the blessing of the alumni of I-82, I have resurrected the station's image. While some more modern music is played on I-82, the heart and soul of the station is the music from our salad days. In my spare time, I'm a self-published author, blogger and poker player.
