DJ Profile
soul music online from Boss Radio - BRUK on Live365 Internet Radio

Who are you?: No one you'd recognise in the street, which makes a change from being someone that you wouldn't want to recognise in the street. What's your story?: Not a story, more of a pamphlet. Been a musician all my life. Gosh, that was exciting. Why do you do what you do?: There's no work left for musicians, so I figure I'll sit here playing records of the days when there was. I may even be on one or two of these. Nostalgia ain't what it used to be, right? Psych! Actually I'm a cheerful little chap who's a full-time carer for his mum. This is what I do whilst she's watching reruns of M*A*S*H.
Favorite Artists

Frank Zappa
You hafta ask?

Carlos Santana
In a genre full of soundalikes and wannabes, here we have a true one off. Do you know anyone else that sounds like this?

Jimi Hendrix
Always played exactly what was in his head.

Tower of Power
One of the most incredible live bands on the planet.

Boss Radio
When someone names their band after my favourite radio station how can I not like them?

Favorite Albums

Touch - Touch
So far ahead of their time no one could be bothered to listen.

Frank Zappa - Strictly Commercial
It's like Zappa with only the best bits left in.

Redbone - Redbone
A bit rough, but predated funk (H'ray!) and disco (Er....) by, well, quite a long time anyway.

Tower of Power - Bump City
The album that set the standard for jazz/funk for me, even if they do claim it's actually soul.

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Music was never the same again.

Favorite Broadcasters

Definitely a one-off.

The mad boomer
Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery... :)
