I'm a Law Student and Musician/Engineer/Producer. My musical saga first began when I eschewed my classical training at age 8 to play Tom Leher. Most music that gets airplay doesn't appeal to me and I believe that there -has- to be an alternative to the 'alternative'. If you're tired of hearing the 'acceptable' alternative radio consisting of Alanis Morisette soundalikes, Manufactured Gen-X angst and synthesized drum tracks that sound like they were ripped from a party that you're glad you didn't attend, then you'll find Radio Obscura to be the answer. After getting kicked out of my College Radio station a few years back, I've returned to the internet with a Vengeance. Who else has Mel Torme, Tom Waits and Roger Waters on the same playlist?

Favorite Artists

Warren Zevon
Simply the -master- of the ironic ballad. Nothing short of genius.

Jacques Brelle
A french composer who's orchestration is as poetic as the lyrics.

The Beatles

The Byrds

Brian Wilson

Favorite Albums

Randy Newman - Little Criminals

Elton John - Tumbleweed Connection
Elton John's attempt to integrate traditional 'Americana' at the peak of his songwriting career. It's unbelievably good.

Syd Barrett - Opel
Inspiring & Raw. Syd Barret at his best, and most deranged.

Procul Harem - Salty Dog
It simply can't be beat - best 'Baroque Rock' album available.

The Beatles - Abbey Road
