I usually like noisy stuff, lots of layers of guitars. At other times I just want something quiet.
My Bloody Valentine Changed the way I hear music. Drone is good
Velvet Underground But, Drone isn't all there is. VU have so many great soft pretty songs that you can't ignore.
Galaxie 500 Cynical lyrics and simple arrangements.
Yo La Tengo The Best
Lester Young I don't play him on the broadcast but he is amazing. Soft lyrical jazz that isn't cheezy at all.
My Bloody Valentine - Loveless Floored me. I never got over this album. It's still the best thing I ever heard.
Jesus and Mary Chain - Psychocandy Opened my ears to noise. Hadn't heard anything like it before. Amazing for its time.
Mojave 3 - Excuses for Travelers You don't have to be loud to get attention. Great songs.
Galaxie 500 - Today The best album I ever heard where the band doesn't get past 3 chords per song.
Velvet Underground - White Light/White Heat Raw noise.
paisa_estereo Smooth traditional latin music. Relax with these guys.
swanky Remove yourself from reality and go into outer space.
