ContemporaryJazz.com Radio is dedicated to modern styles of jazz. It covers everything from acid jazz and nu jazz (nujazz, nu-jazz?) to remixed jazz and jazzy house. Check out some of my favorite recordings below to get an idea of what I'm interested and what I will be sharing with you.
Favorite Artists
Liquid Soul
A mighty band that blew me away at a Blues and Jazz Festival a few years ago.
Jamiroquai
Love their earlier, more jazzy efforts.
Incognito
Consistently good soul-funk-jazz for over a decade. Go, Bluey!
Stevie Wonder
One of a handful of musicians that can be legitimately called a Living Legend!

Journey Inwards
It's hypnotic! Drum'n'bass with heavy jazz touches. It's irresistible.

Nuyorican Soul
Though there isn't a bad track on this recording by MAW, I have their take on Bob James' "Nautilus (MAWtilus)" as one of my five-star songs on my iPod. The other is what I think is the best George Benson performance ever - "You Can Do It (Baby)!"
Jamiroquai

Emergency on Planet Earth
I'm really into the acid jazz vibe heard on the first three Jamiroquai recordings. So many good songs...

Verve//Remixed
I love jazz remixes. This first Verve compilation is my favorite. They're all hit and miss, but this one had more hits.
