The world came to know Daniel Pearl as The Wall Street Journal reporter who was kidnapped and killed by extremists in Karachi, Pakistan, shortly after 9/11. Danny was a talented musician who joined musical groups in every community in which he lived, leaving behind a long trail of musician-friends spanning the entire globe.
Commemorating Danny Pearl's October 10th birthday, World Music Days uses the universal language of music to encourage friendship across cultures and build a platform of Harmony for Humanity
Official dates are October 1-15, but prelude and encore events are welcome (from late September to early November). There is no financial obligation to participate and this is not a fundraising event for the Daniel Pearl Foundation.
Together, using the power of music, we will bridge differences and unite people in a stand for humanity.
