Broadcaster Comments
We feature primarily raunchy guitar driven down home, greasy Texas Blues
and Blues Rock. We used to enjoy the #1 Blues slot but so many broadcaster are tryin' their hand at the blues that I am lucky just to stay in the top 5, We are a founding member of Live365.com and was selected as an Editor's Pick within the first three months of broadcasting. Before all the changes here at Live365 we had a month of over 150,000 total listening hours in a single month and corporate radio says there is no audiance for the blues genre.
There are over 600 songs in our current playlist totaling over 55 hours of the rudest music we can get our hands on, and all the songs are played in random order so you never know just how rude it will get! So go ahead and getcha some while you still can before the lawyers ruin it!
I have all but given up the station it doesn’t make any money (never has) and after nearly 10 years of being on the air without any financial support (other than listener support which is very minimal, but I am still very, very thankful for ) it really has become a drag the last couple of years and then add on top of that every time I open my email I have to hear how crapy my playlist is on free internet blues rock radio and all for what? 10 years of blues rock radio and I have nothing to show for it except a bunch of unhappy listeners and worries that I won't be able to keep this on the air one more month, I even had to shut down the website because I couldn’t afford to run it any more, grief upon grief from un-thankful listeners who threaten to quit listening to Bandit Blues Radio if I don’t change the playlist or don’t remove some free radio ad that a friend made to help promote the radio station. And to think it all started out just because I wanted to listen to my favorite songs without having to change out the CD player, go figure! You know what the real kicker is? The DJ and the station both go hand in hand were both rude and to be honest I don’t really care who listen’s or who doesn’t "it is what it is" and it’s all but dead to me right now and I don’t need the radio station because I actually own all the CD’s you hear on this station, so it will only take a few more email’s with a sour tone to cause me to pull the plug on Bandit Blues Radio because to be honest this thang is giving me da blues!!!
