Broadcaster Comments
SPECIAL NOTICE TO OUR LISTENERS: This station will be UNPLUGGED on 16MAR due to my personal disagreement with the political actions, views and advertising practices of Live365 and its community forums. The only thing that can keep us on the air is you.. and a drastic increase in listeners in the next week..see Jackie's comment below. We're located in the Bayous of Caddo Lake on the TX/LA border. This station is for audiophiles who love a good song regardless of genre. We play it all but focus on Country,Christian,Christian Rock,Folk and Celtic ..even zydeco..and we take requests. Station is monitored quite often so SKYPE "IndieTx" for requests! Whoever is on the air will get it.
All you'll hear is good songs by great writers...Album cuts RULE here!!!
This is the view from our station's window. Dock is off camera left.

Songwriter Spotlight operates under the principal of the public good, which means if we ever get our quota of 10 listeners on a consistent basis, we'll upgrade to accomodate more free listeners, because we realize that in this inflationary depression we're in, few have discretionary funds! We are all about YOU, the listener. Unfortunately, we can't stop the "are you still there?" automatic stream shutdowns that live365 throws at you from time to time. We don't think it's fair but have no voice in the matter.
I'm hopin' listenership picks up because none of us get money for this...we PAY money to give it to you...and with the disagreement with live365's policies, we're going our own ways. We'll gladly go away and save our money for other things. For those who listen, you have our thanks!! Live365 has proven they don't want our broadcasting money. We are only a liability to them as are free listeners.
Due to the disagreement with these policies here (Cutting off free listeners after a cetain time period and discriminating against small stations and those who refuse to brown-nose in the forums for starters), we WILL be unplugging March 16. The only thing that can stop it is you. If we don't get a dramatic increase in listeners in the next week, we're going to be off the air.
