Listen to an unsurpassed selection of those bluesy and soulful oldies, that old time rock 'n roll from the early rock 'n' roll years. Oldies and Blues features a great selection of those familiar oldies mixed in with a '61 Impala convertible full of rare gems, the finest collection of 50's and 60's era rhythm and blues, soul, and blues on the internet all day every day. Mix in a smattering of surf instrumentals, doo wop, rockabilly, Brit invasion, and early album rock cuts, both familiar and seldom played, to hear a roots of rock and roll playlist that never seems to get stale.

Of special interest are large selections of New Orleans RnB from Fats Domino to Professor Longhair, 50's Chicago blues, Carolina beach tunes, and plenty of unique infectious oldies that only played regionally or didn't have well-placed payola.

1660 selections from a collection of over 3200 songs on a playlist updated every week. You'll rarely hear the same song twice in any 18 hour period. Check out the partial playlist on my web site. Each song includes the year of release (within a few months anyway). A recorded source for each song is included, usually on CD. At the top of the playlist are songs during which the station hasn't been turned off, not even once, for a sample of 180 days from the past seven months as reported by live365's statistics gathering software.

Admittedly the songs played are my personal favorites. If you're new to the station, I invite you to tune in for a few hours, if you like the roots music of the early rock and roll years, you may find many of these songs are your favorites also, and a lot of rarely played songs you haven't heard before may soon become your favorites.
