Broadcaster Comments
Swing City Radio began as a weekly college radio program. The show is dedicated to playing the music of the 1920s, 30s, & 40s. The majority of the songs played are recorded between the years 1930 to 1945, but I also like to include music from the 1920s. Play lists include the big name bands lead by Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Glenn Miller, and many others. I also include music by the not so well known & forgotten bands of the same era. Swing City Radio even plays music by some modern bands that capture the "vintage" sound of the past (NOT NEO-SWING). If you are either an original Big Band music fan or a Jitterbug, then this show is for you.
