We are a truly unique community radio station located in the Gold Country of the Sierra Nevada, east of Sacramento. We now broadcast live programming over 110 hours a week with 73 broadcasters from our location on Main Street in Georgetown, California. Our live programming runs from 8am-11pm most days... CHECK OUR BROADCAST CALENDAR at WWW.KFOK.ORG ... Sometime after midnight we switch over to a computer system that plays music though the late night and early morning hours so that we run nearly 24 hours a day every day. The majority of our live broadcast time is filled with music programming created by local community members which has a wide and diverse range (rock, blues, folk, jazz, reggae, bluegrass, Americana, classsical, new age, Native American, oldies, Celtic and world fusion just to name a few). In addition to music programming, local broadcast time is also filled with programs from individual community members covering such topics as gardening, horses, health & ageing, teen issues, storytelling, community events, science and environment, financial advise, politics and other social issues.
