Broadcaster Comments

As a teenager learning to play guitar in the 70s, Philly FM rock stations like WYSP and WMMR played all the cool tunes blurring the lines between rock, folk, country and pop.

Fewer commercials, less filler and crystal clear stereo broadcast (in comparison to AM)provided a platform for the most progressive artists of the time. It was common to hear Jackson Browne or the Pure Prairie League segue into Blue Oyster Cult and the Moody Blues then on to Black Sabbath and back around to Stephen Stills or Dave Mason - all played in their unedited album cuts with full intros, uncut verses and solos.

This station aims to pay homage to some of my favorite artists and songs with the hope of serving that same "cool" feel of those great FM Rock stations. The playlist also includes a few more current artists whose material would have fit nicely with the format of that era.

Thanks for tuning in...
